Inspirational Reads

September 24, 2017

Over the last two decades or so, before my expat journey, I've been on a path to finding my own personal freedom. Freedom of negativity, judgments, fears, low self esteem, relationship issues and everything else that did not serve me.

Along the way I've made some incredible connections and created an amazing support team around me. People who share my fears, passions and yearning of being a better person.

I also began to seek inspiration through books and articles, as many of us do, to find the motivation and empowerment I was longing for. I spent many days and nights, on the couch over many cups of tea! indulging myself in the words of those who, ultimately, have made a huge impact in my life.

I want to share with you my top 10 favorite titles that have truly been an important part of my personal path to freedom. I'm sure you might have come across a few of them, or have already read some of them as some of these titles have popped up through inspiring people like Oprah and Deepak Chopra.

These books are not only inspiring but are challenging in ways that encourage you, daringly, to change the way you see yourself and the world around you.

They are my little rocks of reference, places where I can always go and find soulful refuge when needed.

I encourage you to pick one up and see what it brings you;

1- "The 12 Steps of Forgiveness" by Paul Ferrini

2- "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle

3- "What We Ache For; Creativity and the Unfolding of Your Soul" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

4- "Stop Walking on Eggshells" by Paul Mason

5- "The Healing of America" by Marianne Williamson

6- "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield

7- "The Four Agreements; A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom" by Don Miguel Ruiz

8- "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert

9- "Heal your Body" by Louise Hay

10-  "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch
